Robyn Rihanna Fenty, mais conhecida como Rihanna (Saint Michael, 20 de Fevereiro de 1988) é uma cantora de Barbados, de ascendência guianesa. Mora atualmente em San Diego, Califórnia. Com sua discografia completa, Rihanna vendeu mais de 10 milhões de cópias ao redor do mundo, e ainda emplacou com seus hits, chegando a ocupar recordes de inúmeras paradas ao redor do mundo. Apesar de ter fortes influências no R&B, a cantora é conhecida por experimentar diversas sonoridades, fazendo frente assim a Nelly Furtado.
“Good Girl Gone Bad foi o seu principal álbum de sucesso. Um pouco antes de lançar o álbum, Rihanna lança o primeiro single, intitulado “Umbrella” com participação de Jay-Z. A canção, foi o grande êxito da cantora de Barbados e para muitos o hit de 2007. Tendo ganho vários prémios internacionais devido a esta canção, “Umbrella” manteve-se nos tops mundiais durante muitas semanas. A canção ficou 8 semanas na primeira posição no Billboard Hot 100 (EUA), e várias outras semanas também em todo o mundo. No Reino Unido, Rihanna é responsável por dez semanas consecutivas na primeira posição dos top ingleses, sendo a mulher mais jovem que se manteve por mais tempo na primeira posição neste país.
